SUMMARY:Pageant of Transport - Weston - super - Mare
DESCRIPTION:Good Morning Friends. Apologies for the SLOW UPDATES!!! Things are going on in the background. The event is run by me on behalf of the Sea Cadets as I am part of the Unit Management Team. Unfortunately it was debated whether to run next year or not as it is my intention to move away from Weston-super-Mare. Now\, being a glutton for punishment\, I have agreed to do the paperwork\, and if still not moved by then\, attend the event. Meanwhile 2 people have agreed to run the days of the event if I am absent. So Rana Graham our supporter from Dakota Saloon and Sarah Jeffrey a staff member at Sea Cadets will stand in\, so Thanks to them we have an Event.\nBE AWARE……..We have had to change the date as Easter is early next year and after the Cold windy event this year\, plus the threat of a hard winter from El Nino\, we have had to move the event to the First and 2nd May2 2027. I know this may clash with other events that you regularly attend\, so apologies in advance\, we hope that you will still come along to our event.\nWe are hoping to have tickets available from ticketebo on Friday\, please wait for a post confirming this. Prices for tickets will be the same as last year\, £7.50 for either Saturday or Sunday and £12.50 for both days. Again it will be £10 cash on the gate if not booking in advance. We will again be fencing off Lawns 4 and 5 for public donation on entrance to these Lawns and the Hardstanding.\nThe Hardstanding again will be fenced off used by Dakota Saloon for a Country and Weston Event\, free during the day but in the evening from 5pm to 10.30 both nights for a ticketed Country and Western experience. Ticket Prices will be announced soon. A new Horsebox Bar is also being provided by them\, plus Medical and Security Services\, provided entirely free of Charge to support the event.\nWe again have the Creative Culinary Delights of Weston’s own Passion and Soul Food\, the best Weston has to offer\, supported by Ollies Lollies and Alfies Ices\, all three being long supporters and giving generously to the Cadets.

SUMMARY:Rewind Tour Britain 2027 - Thruxton
DESCRIPTION:The 1970s Tour of Britain was an innovative format\, with stars of stage and circuit fighting head-to-head in lightly modified family saloons. Massive names like James Hunt\, Graham Hill and Roger Clark were challenged on rally stages and circuit races\, as well as navigating cross-country around the country. Hunt was the inaugural winner\, in 1973. \nRewind Tour Britain will capture that spirit of adventure\, reshaped in a new format to fit modern historic motorsport culture. \nScheduled over four days in May 2027\, Rewind Tour Britain will cover around 540 miles (860km)\, taking competitors on an unforgettable journey across some of the UK’s most iconic motorsport venues. \nTwo-wheel-drive historic cars built up to 1986 will be eligible\, including a dedicated class for vintage race cars. A demonstration category will also allow retro cars of significant interest that may fall outside the regulations to complete the same route. \nA list of eligible cars is available here. \nBeginning with action at the BARC’s Thruxton HQ\, the route also includes Silverstone’s Grand Prix track\, demanding hillclimbs and special stages at locations ranging from Blenheim Palace to the military ranges of Caerwent and Epynt. A route map will be published when entries open.
